HYBRID
Outstanding efficiency and ample "oomph" when you need it. Both come standard in the Malibu Hybrid with its 1.8L hybrid engine and powertrain. A host of hybrid-exclusive features like the Driver Efficiency Gauge let you monitor your fuel usage and regeneration. A larger 8-inch diagonal, reconfigurable Driver Information Center comes standard in 2019.

AVAILABLE FORWARD COLLISION ALERT
If the system detects that a front-end collision is imminent while following a detected vehicle, the system can alert the driver to a potential crash. It can also alert the driver if the driver is following a detected vehicle much too closely.
AVAILABLE LANE CHANGE ALERT
This feature can provide side-mirror alerts to help the driver avoid a moving vehicle detected in their side-mirror blind zone or a vehicle that is rapidly approaching their side blind zone during a lane change maneuver.
AVAILABLE LOW SPEED AUTOMATIC BRAKING
If the vehicle is traveling at a low speed and the camera-based system detects that a front-end collision is imminent while following a detected vehicle and the driver has not already applied the system can automatically apply the brakes to potentially help reduce the collision's severity. The system may even help avoid the collision at very low speeds.

AVAILABLE REAR PARK ASSIST
When driving in reverse below 5 mph (8 km/h), this system can provide distance-to-object alerts to help the driver park and avoid nearby detected objects directly behind the vehicle during low-speed maneuvering.
AVAILABLE FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING
If the system detects that a pedestrian is directly ahead and a collision is imminent, and the driver has not already applied the brakes, the system can alert the driver and may even automatically apply the brakes to help the driver avoid or reduce the harm caused by the collision. Performance is limited at night.
AVAILABLE INTELLIBEAM® HEADLAMPS
This available technology automatically turns on the high-beam headlamps when needed in certain conditions and reverts back to low beams when it detects another vehicle in front of you.
AVAILABLE REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
When in reverse, this feature can provide alerts to help the driver avoid approaching detected left- or right-cross traffic (such as when you are backing out of a crowded parking space or driveway with side obstructions).
STANDARD REAR VISION CAMERA
When in reverse, provides the driver with a view of the scene directly behind the vehicle on available Infotainment 3 System† display to help them park and avoid nearby objects during low-speed maneuvering.
